Tickets and Accessibility

Tenbou Park is accessible and affordable. 
Ticket Pricing:

  • Weekday Admission: ¥700 for adults, ¥500 for children.
  • Weekend Admission: ¥900 for adults, ¥600 for children.
  • Busy Periods: ¥1,200 for adults, ¥800 for children.

Open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with last entry at 8:00 p.m. The observatory is wheelchair-friendly, and multi-purpose restrooms are available.

How to Get There

The Sunshine 60 Observatory is located on the top floors of the Sunshine City complex in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, making it easily accessible via public transportation. To reach the observatory:

  1. By Train:

    • Take the JR Yamanote Line to Ikebukuro Station (one of Tokyo’s major train hubs).
    • From the station, it’s about a 5-10 minute walk to Sunshine City. Follow the signs for the Sunshine City complex, and head towards the Sunshine 60 Building.
  2. By Subway:

    • If you’re coming by subway, the Tokyo Metro offers several options:
      • Higashi-Ikebukuro Station (on the Yurakucho Line) is about a 5-minute walk to the complex.
      • Ikebukuro Station (on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line, Fukutoshin Line, or Yamanote Line) is also close, approximately 5-10 minutes on foot.
  3. From Sunshine City Plaza:
    Once inside Sunshine City, head to the Sunshine 60 Building. The observatory is located on the 60th floor, and there are clear signs directing visitors to the elevator. Simply take the elevator to the top floor, and you’ll be ready to enjoy stunning views of Tokyo.

You need to go down these stairs to find the correct elevator. The elevator ride itself is a highlight—featuring large windows and cool lighting effects, it feels almost like a mini adventure as you rise through the building. It’s an exciting and unique experience that builds anticipation for the stunning views you’ll soon enjoy at the top!
