Sakura-Themed Items at Loft 2024

Contents

Loft is one of Japan’s most popular household goods stores selling everything from stationary, to beauty products to other goods. Just like many other stores are, Loft is getting into the spirit of spring with its collection of sakura-themed goodies. Whether you are looking for spring souvenirs to take home or something for yourself, you are sure to find something.

Here is a sneak peak at what seasonal goods are currently available at the Shibuya Loft store.

Food & Drink

The sakura flower doesn’t just look nice, it has a nice flavor to it as well. It is often used in traditional sweets like mochi and drinks like green tea, in order to add a subtle fruit and flowery taste.

This year, Loft is selling a few different assortment boxes from the brand, Aunt Stella’s Cookies, filled with seasonal sakura biscuits and other popular flavors. Each is beautifully wrapped, making them a wonderful souvenir or gift to someone. The price for the sakura-shaped box which includes six cookies, costs ¥648. Whereas, the bigger box which has eleven cookies, is ¥1,188.

Another great gift idea is this sakura tea and sakura strawberry cookie, priced at ¥670. Sakura tea is actually known for having anti-inflammatory properties, being good for your overall well-being. The good thing is, you also don’t need to worry about this mini gift set taking up so much space in your luggage.

Cards

Why not celebrate the start of sakura season by sending someone a sakura-themed greeting card?

Loft has plenty of designs to choose from, including pop-up cards of blooming sakura trees and an adorable dog holding some sakura. These cards start at around ¥450 and can go up to nearly ¥1000, depending on how intricate the design is. Notably, these cards also make a good and inexpensive display piece and souvenir.

If you don’t want to spend that much on a card but do want to get a sakura-themed image of some sort, then consider these adorable Shiba Inu ones. There are a few different designs to pick from, with our personal favorite being the one of the Shiba holding the colorful dango. Each one only costs ¥150, so you could get a few for the price of one card.

Stationery

Loft is also well-known for its extensive range of good-quality and affordable stationery.

Although there don’t seem to be many sakura-themed notebooks or pens available this year, there is a good selection of sakura-themed letter-writing sets. Ranging in size and design, these stunning letter writing sets are especially good to use for special occasions as they add a more personal touch to your message.

You can also get your hands on some sakura stickers. From sakura stickers sets which have Snoopy on to those which include gold sakura stickers, these stickers are perfect to use for scrapbooking and decorating. Each pack costs around ¥150 to ¥300, making them a good choice for those wanting relatively inexpensive sakura-themed goods.

Cosmetics & Other Beauty Products

Every sakura season, you will find an abundance of sakura-scented and inspired beauty products. The Shibuya Loft is one of the best places to search for such new beauty products, given that they stock so many brands.

Many hair care brands sell limited-edition, seasonal products which will make your hair smell fresh and like the famous flower. Some of the most popular ones this year include a special seasonal balance repair shampoo and balance repair hair treatment set from the brand Hiritu, the Pink Blossom Bouquet set from byTREES and the adorably-packaged shampoo and treatment set from Ohana Mahaalo.

Sakura fragrances are always one of the most sought-after seasonal products. Every year, many popular Japanese beauty brands like Jill Stuart release gorgeous limited-edition cherry blossom fragrance sets. However, for a slightly more affordable alternative, you could instead pick up this Luster Blossom Body Splash from the brand Fernanda. Perfect for everyday wear and to throw in your bag, this scent, which costs ¥1700, is one of the brand’s most loved.

For those of you who like doing their own gel nails, brands like Genish are selling a few different special sakura colors. Not only are they perfect for everyday wear but can be used to make many different spring-inspired designs.

Home Goods

As mentioned, Loft is one of the most established homeware stores in all of Japan. It is therefore unsurprising that the store is currently selling a beautiful collection of sakura-inspired homeware. Implementing sakura-themed home decor into your living space, can help add that little touch of elegance and splash of subtle color.

These pink sakura-shaped plates and colorful sakura-shaped bowls are definitely standout items. Brightening your dining space, these plates and bowls are perfect to use for special occasions.

If you are looking for a memorable gift to give someone, then you could consider one of these beautiful pieces of glassware. From glasses with a blossoming sakura tree design to those which are a gorgeous blush pink color, there is a solid selection to choose from. Many of these glasses come in pairs, which makes them a good choice for any couples you may be gifting. Prices vary from around ¥2,000 to ¥6,000.

Other Seasonal Goods

For something more unique, you could consider these nanoblock sets of different bonsai trees, including a sakura one. They are both fun to build and make a nice display piece.

The brand Tomorrow Fabric has created a collection of bags made from fabrics used for kimono fabrics. Made in Japan, these bags are ideal for anyone looking for a more luxurious and expensive gift. Prices for the smaller pouches start at around ¥5000 and go up to ¥12000 for the tote bags.

These traditional handmade brush pens not only look more expensive than they are but are a lovely addition to anyone’s stationery collection. Only costing ¥550 per pen and made with Japanese Yuzen Washi paper, these pens will leave your handwriting looking bold and crisp.
