Kobe-Sanda Premium Outlets: The Largest Outlet Mall in Western Japan

Contents

Kobe Sanda Premium Outlets features over 210 brands, ranging from clothing and accessories to kitchenware and groceries. Located in Kita Ward of Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, this outlet mall may not be the closest shopping venue to the main hubs of Osaka or Kobe, but it is well worth the extra travel time to score some fantastic bargains!

With a unique charm reminiscent of Pasadena, a high-end residential area in Los Angeles, this outlet mall offers an elegant shopping experience that makes you feel as if you’ve temporarily escaped Japan.

Shopping at Kobe-Sanda Premium Outlets

The Kobe Sanda Premium Outlets boasts a variety of stores featuring European and American brands. With all shops conveniently located on the ground floor, you’ll find covered corridors in front of every store, allowing you to shop comfortably regardless of the weather.

Kobe Premium OUTLET looks like a gigantic shopping district in the middle of rural Japan. Although this is not strictly true (Sanda has a charm of its own), the location of the outlet mall allows for ample parking lots (seriously – there are plenty of parks – even on busy days).

Visiting Kobe Sanda Premium Outlets with Children

If you’re visiting Kobe Premium Outlets with your children, you can rest assured that there are excellent facilities for families. The mall features a spacious nursing room that offers a comfortable environment for diaper changes and breastfeeding.

The bathrooms at Kobe Premium Outlets are impressively large, clean, and well-lit. I can only vouch for the women’s restrooms, which feature dedicated makeup areas for touch-ups, ensuring you look your best while shopping. My husband also assures me that the men’s restrooms are spacious and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.

If your little ones need a break from endless shopping, there are several play areas to keep them entertained. The two main playgrounds are located near Parking Lot 5 and another by the food gallery.

During my most recent shopping trip last month, I was delighted to find a pop-up play area where children could climb and explore.

For both kids and adults alike, the LEGO Store at Kobe Sanda Premium Outlets is a must-visit! The store features sets of all kinds, wether you are into Star Wars, Lego City, Minecraft or classic collections is a haven for LEGO enthusiasts, offering a wide array of sets, from classic collections.

One of the highlights of the LEGO Store is the interactive play areas. It’s the perfect spot to take a break from shopping while the little ones enjoy some hands-on fun.

Don’t forget to check out the build-your-own mini-figure station, where you can customize your very own LEGO figure to take home as a souvenir.

It is easy to find Gucchi with its impressive storefront! Whilst I wasn’t brave enough to enter many of these high stores, I could see staff inside waiting eagerly to help their customers find what they need.

My favorite luxury brand at Kobe Sanda Premium Outlets is definitely Burberry. The iconic Burberry Check pattern is truly one-of-a-kind.

Armani serves elegant apparel and accessories that combine sophistication with modern design.

Dolce & Gabbana is known for vibrant prints and Italian craftsmanship. You can see their brightly coloured bags from outside the store!

They even have kid’s clothing at this Dolce & Gabanna Outlet store!

Indulge in exquisite shoes and accessories at Jimmy Choo, perfect for fashion enthusiasts.

Coach’s exquisite leather bags and accessories are designed for the fashion-forward individual. They are well known for their craftsmanship and the quality of their designs.

If the big store front signage doesn’t catch your eye, then Prada’s designs certainly will!

Dining Options at the OUTLET: Food Gallery

While many travellers might head to the OUTLET with the sole intention of shopping until they drop, I know I’m not alone in saying that I often get hungry after just a few hours of browsing! Thankfully, there are plenty of dining options here to refuel.

⬛Kua'aina

Kua’aina is a gourmet burger spot established in Haleiwa, Hawaii, in 1975. Famous for its lava rock-grilled patties, their avocado cheese beef burger is a must-try, along with delicious sandwiches and fluffy pancakes.

⬛ Kannonya Grill & Cafe

Kannonya Grill & Cafe has been serving up delights for over 45 years. Known for its Kannonya Denmark cheesecake, it also offers cheese dishes from around the world. Don’t miss their Japanese-style kettle cheese risotto, which stays hot until you finish!

Note: Hours and closed days may change. Please check with the restaurant before visiting.

Crazy Crepes brings a taste of the U.S. with its soft, egg-and-milk-based crepes. Fill them with your choice of sweet or savory toppings for a delicious break from shopping!

Street Style Staples: Your Go-To Brands for Comfort and Trend

For those who swear by their Crocs (let’s face it, any one who has actually tried them!), Kobe Sanda Premium Outlets has a Crocs Push Cart Stand.

The Crocs stand has shoes from toddlers to adults, in all their playful designs and bright colours. Occasionally they will also have limited edition and Japanese-exclusive designs!

Crocs are usually cheaper in Japan than other part of the word, but with the Premium Outlet Discounts, they are a real bargain! Perfect if your feet need some comfort after shopping all day.

If you’ve shopped a bit too much, or perhaps made a visit to Don Quijote during your trip to Japan, you can find high-quality luggage at great prices at the Samsonite Outlet store.

For American-style clothing, the GAP Outlet is a must-visit! With frequent large discounts, items tend to sell out quickly.

Some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned (besides my Crocs) have been Vans. These shoes are amazing and surprisingly supportive for the ankles. Plus, if you were a scene kid in the early 2000s, the Vans store will give you a nostalgic throwback

Shoe shopping at Kobe Sanda Premium Outlets wouldn’t be complete without trying on some Doc Martens!

They also sell the most adorable little kids’ Doc Martens! Perfect for adding a bit of edge to any outfit.
