Named after the Japanese word “ikkenya” (一軒屋), meaning a single detached house, Ikken House embodies the essence of comfort and togetherness. Our logo features the kanji 「楽」, symbolizing happiness, under a large roof, reflecting our hope that every guest feels the warmth of family and the joy of togetherness during their stay.

Located just a 7-minute walk from Higashi-Shinjuku Station (Fukutoshin and Oedo Subway Lines) or an 8-minute walk from Shin-Okubo Station (JR Yamanote Line), Ikken House Shinjuku is nestled in the serene residential area of Shin-Okubo, renowned as Tokyo’s Korean/Asian Town. Nestled in the peaceful residential area of Shin-Okubo, known as Tokyo’s Korean/Asian Town, Ikken House Shinjuku is the perfect base for exploring Tokyo.

Enjoy a diverse range of dining options right at your doorstep, from delicious local Japanese dishes to authentic Korean and Asian cuisine—all at very reasonable prices.
You’ll also find a variety of supermarkets, 100-yen shops, drugstores, and convenience stores nearby for all your everyday needs.

With just a 2-minute train ride (or a 15-minute walk) to Central Shinjuku, you’ll have easy access to major shopping destinations like the MUJI store, Isetan, LUMINE Department Stores, and Bic Camera’s large electronics store. Shinjuku also offers connections to Shinkansen and long-distance buses, making it convenient to travel to all parts of Japan.

Take a short walk to the prestigious Waseda University Campus, and continue for another 15 minutes to reach Takadanobaba, a popular student area known for its budget-friendly Izakayas and bars. Smoking is not allowed in all parts of our buildings (including public areas and the balcony).
To ensure a restful environment for all guests, we kindly ask that you keep noise to a minimum between 9:00 PM and 9:00 AM each day. Please refrain from loud talking, running, heavy footsteps, or any activities that may cause disturbing noise. This rule applies to both indoor areas (including balconies or terraces) and all shared spaces such as stairwells, elevators, balconies, and the lobby. Excessive noise may result in complaints from neighbors and possible police involvement, which could cause inconvenience to other guests. We sincerely ask for your cooperation.
